Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

The short version: LifeMatrix has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything you type is stored in your browser on your own phone or computer. We couldn't read your data even if we wanted to; it never reaches us.

1. What data LifeMatrix stores, and where

All content you create (tasks, clients, appointments, medical records, legal case notes, settings, and whether your license is active) is saved in your browser's local storage on your phone or computer. It is never sent to BNDR LLC. We run no database of user content.

2. Cookies and tracking

LifeMatrix sets no tracking cookies and includes no analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting scripts. The only browser storage used is local storage for the app's own data (including remembering that you dismissed the storage notice).

3. Optional AI assistant

If you turn on AI features, you provide your own API key for a provider you choose (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Zhipu GLM, or a server you host yourself). When you use an AI action, the content it needs (say, today's task list) is sent directly from your browser to that provider, under their privacy policy. Your key stays in your browser and is never sent to us. AI features are optional; the app works fully without them.

4. Optional connections you control

  • Weather (off by default): if you turn the weather chip on, your coordinates, from your phone's location (with your permission) or a city name you type, are sent to the free Open-Meteo service to fetch conditions. Nothing else is included, and the reading is cached on your phone.
  • GitHub backup: if you add a personal access token, backups are sent from your browser to GitHub's API into your own private Gist.
  • Webhook export: if you add a webhook address (e.g. Make, Zapier, n8n), backups are sent from your browser to that address you chose.
  • Supabase sync: if you connect your own Supabase project, your data is mirrored to that project: infrastructure you own and control.
  • Gumroad license check: if you enter a Gumroad license key, the key is verified against Gumroad's API. Only the key itself is transmitted.

Each connection is off by default, labeled in Settings, and works only after you set it up yourself.

5. Error reports, only if you send them

If the app hits an unexpected error, it shows a dialog offering to email a technical report to the maker. Nothing is sent on its own and there is no background crash reporting or telemetry of any kind: choosing "Email the report" opens a pre-filled draft in your own email app, which you can review, edit, or discard. The draft holds only technical details (app version, page, browser type, the error message and stack trace), never your tasks, records, or keys.

6. Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe or Gumroad on their own pages. We never see or store your card details. Their privacy policies govern the checkout experience.

7. What we don't do

No analytics. No advertising. No fingerprinting. No server logs of your activity; we run no servers for this product. We cannot access, restore, sell, or share your content, because it never reaches us. For the same reason, we cannot recover data you delete or lose: backups are in your hands (and one tap away in Settings).

8. Your responsibilities and your control

Because data lives only on your phone or computer: clearing browser data erases it (use Settings → Backup Data regularly); anyone who can get into your phone or computer can open the app; and moving to a new one is done via Backup → Import. You can erase everything at any time with Settings → Erase All Data.

9. Sensitive records

The Medical and Legal sections are personal organizers. Store only what you are comfortable keeping in your browser, and export backups if your records are sensitive. LifeMatrix is not a HIPAA-covered service and is not meant for clinical or attorney record-keeping.

10. Children

LifeMatrix is a general-audience organizer and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone, including children, because it collects nothing at all.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version ships with the app and the "Last updated" date above changes. That is the one place to check.
